The former president of the Pampanga Mayors' League (PML) has renewed his commitment to support the presidential bid of Vice- President Jejomar Binay.
In a press conference at the Fontana Residences here recently, former Candaba Mayor and PML president Jerry Pelayo said Binay has the "heart" and genuine concern for the Filipino people.
He added that "Binay's advantage is that as former mayor, he knows what local government units (LGUs) need."
"A few years ago, I already saw in Vice-President Binay his love for the people, especially the poor ones. His plan to empower the LGUs, notably mayors and governors, will bring tremendous economic growth," said Pelayo.
The latest survey of Pulse Asia showed Binay still leading in the poll among probable presidential candidates. The former Makati mayor had 26 percent.
Asked by journalists what's the role of Pelayo at his camp, Binay said, "he is a CSB."
"CSB means certified sipsip kay Binay," added Binay in a jest, eliciting smiles from journalists.
"I don't back out from any fight and I am healthy as you can see," said Binay
